![]() My latest adventure has been making pasta. Yes you read right, I’m making homemade pasta from the ground up. I’ve have for quite some time watched a lot of food programs. Strictly dumpling and frenchguycooking on YouTube and Chefs table on Netflix. I realized I’m bored of eating the same stuff over again, and since I’m struggling with getting ill from what I eat, not any direct allergies just not really feeling well after eaten stuff, so I decided to try to make it myself. I started this adventure with something I love, pasta. the only problem that occurred is that a pasta dough need to be knead a lot, and since I have weak write that wasn’t really fun. So my mother actually went ahead and bought me a paste machine as a present! Now I can amazing pasta in no time! I really enjoy it. Estimated time: about 40 min
This should give about 3 servings. 250g flour (all purpose or high gluten something) 120g water (you could use egg instead, keep the ratio the same) Pinch of salt
IF you have a pasta machine 2. Put the dough thru on the biggest setting and fold it between each round, don’t be afraid to use flour here, don’t want it to stick to the machine. 4. Put it thought the smooth part of the machine, one setting slimmer each time until reached desired thickness. Then put it through the cutting part of machine. Voila! Pasta ready for cooking!

IntroductionToday I will introduce one of the main game modes in Guild Wars 2: World Versus World. Here is a bit of the basic information about the game mode: Definition:“World versus World (also known as WvW) is a Player versus Player game mode where players from three different servers, or worlds, battle in the Mists. It features open-world combat on five large maps with up to several hundreds of players per map. In World versus World, players can besiege objectives such as Keeps and Towers with siege weapons, and battle over resources, to win rewards for their world and World Experience for themselves.” –Wiki Matchings of the worlds:Resets every Friday, next matchup(MU) will depend on how well we played that week. Worlds in WvW are matched up based on their ranking using a modified Glicko rating,[3] so that high-ranked worlds will battle other high-ranked worlds, and low-ranked worlds will battle other low-ranked worlds. This attempts to ensure that every world has a fair chance of winning matches despite differing levels of player participation or skill.[4] Leaderboards for WvW rankings are updated online for both North America and Europe. Goal:The goal is simple: Get a Squad of 50 people working together in different ways to earn points per tick (PPT). Ofc havoc groups and roaming works too, it’s a team game but remember to play to have fun. How can the squad do so? Mainly by these two ways: ![]() Karma train- here you go around the border with your group and cap objectives. Gather more supply to build more siege to cap more objectives. ![]() Fighting – Kill the enemy repeatedly, getting 2points everytime someone dies. This will be very nice if you win the fights and very bad if you lose repeatedly. Guilds and fight commanders prefer this way. What does one gain from this as a player? Karma, gold, loot, reward tracks, different currencies and WXP (world XP for your rank, doesn’t add to your normal character levels) There are 4 different maps to choose from, 2 Alpine borders, a desert border and Eternal battlegrounds (EB) Tools to succeed Builds – This means to have Armor, weapons, trinkets and skill build setup with a specific function in mind. Tactics in fights – To follow a commander that knows what to do in a fight and follow what he says even though you may die. Remember it’s a game, it’s not dangerous to die. When he says push forward, you push. If he says stack, you stack as close to him that you can see your own character. Communication TeamSpeak 3 or on some servers: Discord This is where you can listen to your commander and report vocaly about your cooldowns, scout reports etc. Language used by commander:
Language used in text chat: Why smart to know? Scouting
For a vocabulary list check out THIS LINK https://metabattle.com/wiki/Guide:WvW_Guide_For_a_Novice How a guild like Chao plays WvW![]() Chat is full or reminders, people gathering up in TS. Our own beloved commander picks his battlefield (borderland) based on observations and scout reports. How many tags are there? Are they open or closed tags? Are there any Q’s? We meet up, joins on commanders squad. Food and guild banner placed. We use our own spanners. Double-checks our builds, making sure we have supply on us. Preparing for a few fun hours. We run with a closed tag, which means only our guild members or people we invite are welcome to join us. We all run Guild builds. Build made especially for us as a guild group. We have static parties in the squad, people are used to playing together, know how their party plays. We always communicate via voice chat, like TS (teamspeak3) During the raid we recruit people on our way. How do we play? What do we focus? We capture objectives, fighting any group we meet on our way. We defend the important objectives. Most of all we focus on having fun What’s the best way to learn WvW?
![]() A while back, I needed and wanted a new server, so I made one. Today I’ll show you what used to make it and what I use it for. Let’s start with main components:
Thanks to my well times upgrade of my table on the room, I had a perfect place to do my build. When I did, it was streamed live on Twitch. This is where I do most of my work on my computers and other projects. Putting the machine together was the easy part, whenever I needed and extra screw, fan or cable, I just reach out to my stash. So what do I use the server for?
What OS?
Well I had a library to choose from, but I went with wind 10 pro. With the ok decent GPU, it can be used for playing if needed. Is it worth it having your own server? For me yes, because I use it with someone else. For my own sake, I could fit everything I could ever need in my own pc. In addition, looking into parts, ordering, building, setting up and using brings practise and lots of fun! Why bother?![]() When having a growing guild that’s active and reach for staying that way, then somethings are smart to do. Like for instance, a promotion video. It’s a nice way to attract new people, showing them rather than telling them what we do. Also it’s really fun to make together as a guild. IT-Monkey and I discussed it for a while and we ended up asking for help from one of our friends, Janski. She is good at finding the good spots, guiding us to making something great. I recommend on the strongest to check out her channel HERE, it will show you an amazing game. If you play Guild Wars 2 already then maybe you even find a guild on your server that she’ve made a promo video for. The Promo videoBloopersEvery making of a video will have bloopers, we’re no exception. In the video below, you’ll see us trying and failing and retrying to make our video. Yes, you can hear both me and IT-Monkey in the video :P Enjoy! Keep updated! It all starts somewhere![]() A while back, I needed and wanted a new server, so I made one. In addition, looking into parts, ordering, building, setting up and using brings practise and lots of fun! A tiny side game![]() Today I want to tell you about a small hobby of mine, Pokemon GO. Pokémon Go is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed by Niantic. It was a big hit when it came out where I live in the summer 2017, and still there is massive activity around here. If you don’t know about the game, then take a look at this trailer: I had a break from about a year from playing Pokémon, and when I returned to the community, I thought I would find all the same small kids ads when it all started, but no. People playing this game where I live are adults. Why? Well its perfect distraction as the walk their boring walks for their beloved fitness. On the other hand, kinds are not uncommon to see. I’ve several times seen fathers bring their children and an army of other kids to take down raid bosses. Amazing to see and practical when you’re taking down a high-level boss. The more the merrier. Are these necessary to play? No. This may take away some of the joy of playing for some and inforce it for others. A total matter of preference. Here are some videos that can provide you with some information about the different accessories
If you want to know where everyone are, where raid bosses appear etc. then find your local Pokémon go Facebook group or even discord server. Makes it so much easier when playing together with other and it’s also a nice way to get to know new people
I’ve been looking into learning something new. I’ve noticed that I’ve several times have had use for knowledge about picture editing as well as video editing. I need to get started somewhere so I’ve looked into the different programs, specifically 3; Photoshop, Coral paint shop and Gimp. So where do I start with this? First off getting the program I’ve decided to go for Gimp. Then a tutorial would be next up. I found a nice updated tutorial on YouTube. First step into learning is taken. ![]() I’ve also looked into some real life courses for picture taking, to get some guidance for using my new Nikon Camera that I’ve acquired for usage for the website. As I’ve never had real interest in pictures before I need to be on and keep on up to learn. My goal is to be able to take half decent pictures and even film for the website. There is a local shop in town that holds a beginners course and I’ve contacted them today about getting in on one of those courses. So all well and done. Then guild PvE raid in the evening. We started up with Cairn which is a new boss for most of the people in my group. I choose to have a try at this one, as the group I’m trying to teach is having a hard time with Vale Guardian. Cairn imo has some of the same familiar mechanics from VG and some from Fractals that we’ve done. After just a few tries several started complaining about how hard it was, that they wanted to do something easier. One in particular started explaining another raid boss. Being a raid leader puts in a position of focus and if things go wrong, setup is wrong, people lack healing, lack of dps, lack of sustainability etc. why? Well you’re the one in control, you’re the one that knows all the members, knowing they’re playstyle, whey characters they have what gear they have available. It’s your job to set up the raid with the highest chance of success, and for a new group like this: make them have fun. If my group doesn’t have fun, or doesn’t want to be where I place them, then there is no reason for me to continue. What could I as a Raid leader do, facing a mutiny? I asked directly, what do you want? Stay here and continue, go back to the other boss or do you want to do something else? The answer came quickly and several people answered that they wanted to do the raid that the one person had mentioned. Ok, so I knew what they wanted. They don’t know I spend more than an hour every time we change boss, to learn mechanic, setting up possible parties depending who gets online. The boss they wanted, I’ve never done nor prepared for. So I let them do it, giving my commander tag to the one that said knew the raid. The beginning was chaotic and the new raid leader didn’t know what to do. I left as I was feeling down for people not joining in what I’ve prepared for them. And short after they figured out that people need a mastery to do the raid which they didn’t. So the raids were ended. I find it hard sometimes to keep my authority as I’m one of the youngest in the guild and being a leader. It can be hard to ask someone twice your age to focus up. How to handle situations like this is something I need to learn in my everlasting process of becoming a great guild leader and raid leader.
I believe that these incidents will help me to evolve and become better, I’m lucky to have such a patient guild to back me up and let me learn. Some may be curious how my day looks like, well I’ll tell you. It normally starts up with a monster crawling out of bed, hair standing in all directions. Getting ready for the day barely makes a difference. The monster drags her feet down to the kitchen, powered by coffee or tea, yes I drink both, the monster finally turns into a somewhat human being which is called IT-Shizuma, or Shizu for short. The fumes from my drinks powers up my brain and the ideas start to pop up as I sip my drink. ![]() It’s in the beginning of my day I figure out what to do. What will it be today? Going to redo the backup pc? Make a new one from the spare parts I have? Should I go to my workshop and get started on the shelf I’ve been thinking about or should I continue the work of my build for the competition? A new day = New possibilities. Many days I bring in front of the pc working on projects, as my website, learning video editing, write-ups for the guild forum and so on. Guild forum you ask? Well yes I play a game in the evenings. Some of you man know of the game some of you don’t. It’s a roleplaying game not unlike World of Warcraft, just better looking. What does one do in that game? I’ll take you through my point of view as a Guild Leader and Raid Leader. I’ll start by giving you a short introduction The game, Guild wars 2. Server, Piken Square. Place, my room. The room is calmly lit, I sit in my racing chair, surrounded by monitors powered by a beast of a PC (Drogon). The chatter from Teamspeak 3 sounds in the background. This is where it all happens. Stories about raids, people, real and virtual drama. How does one keep a peaceful and happy guild in the middle of a chaotic and salty server?
That’s where we come in as the guild: Ordo Ab Chao or in English Order in chaos. A friendly mature guild, having fun together in all parts of the game, but focusing World VS World. I will continue updating you about my days as one of the guild leaders in Chao and about what we do. The beginningIt all started a few years ago. IT was a time of hope and excitement, I was a promising apprentice in an IT department for a big Oil company. Every day I learned something new and every day I got more responsibilities as well as trust of my peers. I learned about servers, physical repairs as well as work on the software, I learned the importance of good support service and personal interest. I got to know people in the workshop and spent most my days there which made me the contact for the issues between workshop machines and pc’s. My peers and teachers did an amazing job teaching me and building my knowledge as well as self-trust with giving me the space and time with guidance to achieve. All of this inspired me so I started a side project with a website that was called IT-Shizuma.com. Here I updated with my days as an apprentice and used it as a tool to learn. It also gave my co-workers something to talk and laugh about when I was around. The calm seasonThe website had its ups and downs just like me. But it started again to take form and blossom with activity when I became an IT technician at one of the biggest hospitals around. Yet again I learned so much and go to experience different things than before. Surgery rooms, my own apprentice, other responsibilities and tasks. Promising futureEven though I was working at a hospital, I weren’t invisible to health situations. So the activity again dropped when my health did. It was a time of curiosity and pondering, how to continue the website? What should I do? Who can I do it with? I had more questions than answers. But with time it again become active and its now in the start of a new era! I’ve found a new partner and together we will continue the work on the website that you see today as Cyberzany.com It will continue to be about life and random, by nerds for nerds. The goal is to give you something to read about that is either entertaining or interesting, hopefully both. Welcome to Cyberzany!
Preparing and starting![]() Material acquired, plans made. Next step to start making the pieces. The Build will be made in different parts, so we started off cutting the pieces for them. This really was a two-man job for us, the wood panels we bought were big and hard to handle on my own. The new table saw really did make a huge difference as we did it all manually last year. With some careful measurements and cuts we got the parts ready that we needed to get started on the build. We disassembled my one-man reol from last year as well as my brothers reol, the technical parts from here will be a huge help in the new build. And some of the materials are reusable. You will however get to see major improvements and bigger, better sound system and other fun gadgets. Exactly what I won’t reveal yet and other I don’t yet know as I improvise and let the creativity flow. Above you can see a small part of the cut materials. There is still much more to prepare for the build.
In the next post I will show you how the reol starts to take form into something you can recognize. |
