I was sitting doing stuff in peace and suddenly a round blinking thing made a sound from the wall. The size was like a small wall clock, but instead of a clock, it had five red lights on a grey surface.
The buzzing sound came unexpectedly, and I've never heard it before. I stopped what I was doing and jumped out of the chair running to one of my colleague asking him what it was.
Him: Ah, that old thing. That’s something that always been there in this building, it's sort of a person tracker. Each light combination belongs to a person, and when the thing buzz, it blinks on some of the lights.
Me: Do we still use that??
Him: No, of course not. That technology is from like 1901 or something!
Me: So where does the signal come from?
Him: Probably from the reception. Maybe someone found the old button.
I tried to find out something about it on the internet, but I found nothing not even a picture. It's too high up on the wall for me to get a decent picture of it.
Well looks like they had their ways to find a person in a gigantic building half a century (maybe more) ago. I'm going to find that button, and I'm going to push it! A treasure hunt, how exciting!
