So I started the day off with a cup coffee, but sometimes there is just to many problems or to high stupidity rate that I just have to use a different potion. When problems gets harder, the phone is out of breath, and you can feel the stress headache, that’s when you need a large cup of good tea. Today was that kind of day.
The phone was ringing nonstop, so I had to fix silly problems while I was working with two different Print servers, setting up new computers, fixing an image, switching my bosses boss's screen, ordering new components and machines, write proper documentation on a few different procedures, making new users in AD and a few other things.
I shouldn't complain too much, I still got a lot of those calming easy problems.
I'm beginning to notice that most of the calls I get in support is about the Office programs and everything around those programs, and the basic use of the computer. Today I was surprised yet again about others knowledge about how a computer works.
Normally when someone starts their computer here at work, the Outlook starts automatic when they logon, but when it doesn't it's surprisingly how many that call for help. I don't know how many times I've shown people how to find it in the programs list. It happened again today, find it, click it, say goodbye. I must say that sometimes I wonder how they manage to do their work.
