It all started a few years ago. IT was a time of hope and excitement, I was a promising apprentice in an IT department for a big Oil company.
Every day I learned something new and every day I got more responsibilities as well as trust of my peers. I learned about servers, physical repairs as well as work on the software, I learned the importance of good support service and personal interest.
I got to know people in the workshop and spent most my days there which made me the contact for the issues between workshop machines and pc’s. My peers and teachers did an amazing job teaching me and building my knowledge as well as self-trust with giving me the space and time with guidance to achieve.
All of this inspired me so I started a side project with a website that was called IT-Shizuma.com. Here I updated with my days as an apprentice and used it as a tool to learn. It also gave my co-workers something to talk and laugh about when I was around.
The calm season
The website had its ups and downs just like me. But it started again to take form and blossom with activity when I became an IT technician at one of the biggest hospitals around. Yet again I learned so much and go to experience different things than before. Surgery rooms, my own apprentice, other responsibilities and tasks.
Even though I was working at a hospital, I weren’t invisible to health situations. So the activity again dropped when my health did.
It was a time of curiosity and pondering, how to continue the website? What should I do? Who can I do it with? I had more questions than answers. But with time it again become active and its now in the start of a new era! I’ve found a new partner and together we will continue the work on the website that you see today as Cyberzany.com
It will continue to be about life and random, by nerds for nerds. The goal is to give you something to read about that is either entertaining or interesting, hopefully both.
Welcome to Cyberzany!
Preparing and starting
Material acquired, plans made. Next step to start making the pieces.
The Build will be made in different parts, so we started off cutting the pieces for them. This really was a two-man job for us, the wood panels we bought were big and hard to handle on my own.
The new table saw really did make a huge difference as we did it all manually last year.
With some careful measurements and cuts we got the parts ready that we needed to get started on the build.
We disassembled my one-man reol from last year as well as my brothers reol, the technical parts from here will be a huge help in the new build. And some of the materials are reusable.
You will however get to see major improvements and bigger, better sound system and other fun gadgets. Exactly what I won’t reveal yet and other I don’t yet know as I improvise and let the creativity flow.
Above you can see a small part of the cut materials. There is still much more to prepare for the build.
In the next post I will show you how the reol starts to take form into something you can recognize.
