It all starts somewhere

A while back, I needed and wanted a new server, so I made one. Today I’ll show you what used to make it and what I use it for.
Let’s start with main components:
EVGA 500W PSU
  • AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
  • ASUS Prime B350-Plus, Socket-AM4
  • Ballistix Sport DDR4 16GB 2400MHz
  • BitFenix Nova Midi Tower
  • WD Red 3TB 3.5"
  • Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Dual OC

Thanks to my well times upgrade of my table on the room, I had a perfect place to do my build. When I did, it was streamed live on Twitch. This is where I do most of my work on my computers and other projects.

Putting the machine together was the easy part, whenever I needed and extra screw, fan or cable, I just reach out to my stash.

What OS? Well I had a library to choose from, but I went with wind 10 pro. With the ok decent GPU, it can be used for playing if needed.
Is it worth it having your own server? For me yes, because I use it with someone else. For my own sake, I could fit everything I could ever need in my own pc. In addition, looking into parts, ordering, building, setting up and using brings practise and lots of fun!
